Elisabeth Petrovna

Elisabeth Petrovna, also known as Elizabeth of Russia, was the Empress of Russia from 1741 to 1762. She was the daughter of Tsar Peter the Great and ascended to the throne through a bloodless coup d'état. Her reign marked a period of cultural and military expansion for Russia, and she is remembered for her strong leadership and patronage of the arts.
