About Eléonore

Eléonore de Habsbourg was the second wife of King François I of France and a member of the House of Habsburg. She was born in 1502 and became queen consort in 1530 after marrying François I. Her marriage was more political than romantic, aimed at strengthening ties between France and the Habsburgs. She played a role in the political landscape of her time.
