Edward Augustus Freeman

Edward Augustus Freeman was a Victorian historian and academic who made significant contributions to the field of British history. He was a professor at Oxford University and wrote extensively on the subject of the Anglo-Saxon period. Freeman was also known for his work on the history of the British monarchy. He was a fellow of the Royal Historical Society and was awarded several honors for his work. Freeman was born in 1823 and died in 1892. He is remembered as one of the leading historians of his time.
