Dzhokhar Tsarnaev

Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is a Chechen-American who was convicted of orchestrating the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. He was born in 1993 in Kyrgyzstan and immigrated to the United States with his family at a young age. Tsarnaev was a student at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth when he and his older brother Tamerlan carried out the bombing, which killed three people and injured hundreds. He was captured in a shootout with police in 2013 and was later convicted of multiple federal charges related to the bombing. Tsarnaev was sentenced to death and is currently on death row at the ADX Florence supermax prison.
