DJ Kool Herc

DJ Kool Herc, born Clive Campbell, is widely regarded as one of the founding figures of hip-hop culture. He is credited with developing the 'breakbeat' DJing technique at a party in the Bronx in 1973, which laid the foundation for hip-hop music.
