Derek Egan is a former Texas Longhorns football player. He played as a linebacker for the team from 2005 to 2009. Egan was a member of the 2009 BCS National Championship team. After his playing career, he went on to become a sports analyst and commentator. He has worked as a color commentator for the Longhorns' football games and has appeared on various sports media outlets.
