Dame Katherine Grainger

British rower and Olympic champion

Dame Katherine Grainger is a British rower and Olympic champion. She was born in Glasgow in 1975 and began rowing at Edinburgh University. Grainger has won six World Championship titles and a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics. She was appointed a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2017 for her services to rowing.
