Colby Townsend is an academic researcher and historian specializing in Mormon studies. He has written extensively on the history of Mormonism and has published several papers on the topic of the Book of Mormon. Townsend is a graduate of Brigham Young University and has a Ph.D. in History from the University of Utah. He is currently a professor at a university in the United States.
