Chen Yi

Chen Yi was a Chinese politician and military leader. He was born in 1901 in Guangzhou, China. Chen Yi served as a general in the Chinese People's Liberation Army and played a key role in the Chinese Civil War. He was a close ally of Mao Zedong and served as the Minister of National Defense. Chen Yi died in 1950 during the Korean War.
