Former WNBA player and Olympic gold medalist
Chamique Holdsclaw is a former WNBA player and Olympic gold medalist. She played for the Washington Mystics and the Los Angeles Sparks, and was a key player on the US National Team that won the gold medal in the 1998 Berlin Olympics. Holdsclaw was named Rookie of the Year in her first WNBA season and was a four-time WNBA All-Star. She is also a mental health advocate and has spoken publicly about her struggles with depression and bipolar disorder. Holdsclaw has written a memoir about her life and career, and has been involved in various charitable initiatives to support mental health awareness.
