Catherine de Médicis

Catherine de Médicis was the Queen consort of France as the wife of King Henry II and the powerful mother of Charles IX. She served as regent during the minority of her son, Charles IX, and later during the early reign of her grandson, Henry III. Known for her political acumen and influence, she played a significant role in the French Wars of Religion.
