Caesar Chavez

Caesar Chavez was a labor leader and civil rights activist who played a pivotal role in the development of the United Farm Workers. He co-founded the UFW with Cesar Chávez Sr. and worked tirelessly to improve the lives of farmworkers and their families. Chavez was a key figure in the Chicano Movement and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1994. He is also the namesake of the Caesar Chavez Day, which is celebrated annually in California. In his free time, Chavez enjoyed reading and hiking. He is remembered as a champion of social justice and a hero to many.
