Bruce Rauner

Bruce Rauner is an American businessman and politician. He served as the 43rd Governor of Illinois from 2015 to 2019. Rauner was a successful businessman before entering politics, having founded and sold several companies. He ran for governor in 2014 and won the Republican primary. Rauner's tenure as governor was marked by controversy, including a bitter battle with the Illinois General Assembly. He lost his re-election bid in 2018 to J.B. Pritzker.
