Billy Meredith

Billy Meredith was a Welsh footballer who played as a winger for Manchester City and the Wales national team. He was known for his speed and skill on the pitch and was a key player for Manchester City during their successful period in the early 20th century. Meredith was also a successful businessman and was involved in various ventures outside of football. He was banned from football in 1905 due to his involvement in the Manchester City scandal.
