Beyers Naude is a South African philosopher, writer, and broadcaster. He is best known for his work on the philosophy of science and his criticism of Western rationalism. Naude was born in 1928 in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. He studied at the University of Cape Town and later worked as a journalist and broadcaster. Naude has written several books on philosophy and science, including the influential work 'Theology and the Philosophy of Science'. He is also a prominent public speaker and has given numerous lectures on science and philosophy. Naude has been a vocal critic of Western rationalism and has argued for a more holistic approach to understanding the world. He is currently a professor emeritus at the University of Pretoria.
