Bernard Moitessier

Bernard Moitessier was a French sailor and author. He is best known for his solo circumnavigation of the globe in 1969, which he completed in a single-handed and unassisted voyage. Moitessier was also a prolific writer and published several books on sailing and adventure. He is considered one of the greatest sailors of all time and his book "Le Grand Cirque" is a classic of sailing literature.
