Béla Fleck is an American bluegrass and jazz banjoist, singer-songwriter, and bandleader. Born on December 10, 1958, in New York City, Fleck began his music career at the age of six. He formed the Béla Fleck Band in 1987, which has released numerous albums and won several awards.
