Ari Shavit

Ari Shavit is an Israeli journalist and author. He was born in 1978 and graduated from Hebrew University of Jerusalem with a degree in journalism. He served in the Israeli Defense Forces as an officer in the intelligence branch, where he was involved in various covert operations. After his military service, Shavit worked for several years as a correspondent for The New York Times. In 2004, he joined Yedioth Ahronot, Israel's largest newspaper. Since then, he has written extensively on politics, security, and social issues.
