Anna Paquin is a Canadian actress and model. She is best known for her roles in the films X-Men and True Blood, as well as her work on stage in productions such as Hedda Gabler and The Flick. Paquin was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and began her acting career at a young age. She won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Piano at the age of 11.
