Through determination and resilience, she found new freedom and purpose on a paddleboard, which led to her mission of fighting invasive floating pennywort in Leicestershire rivers. She has led volunteers in removing over 100 tonnes of this weed, demonstrating how personal recovery and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.
