Amir Eshel

Amir Eshel is an Israeli politician and former military officer. He served as the commander of the Israeli Air Force from 2008 to 2011. Eshel was born in 1960 in Tel Aviv. He has a degree in economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He served in the IDF for over 30 years and rose through the ranks to become a major general. Eshel was elected to the Knesset in 2019 and has been a member of the Likud party. He has been a vocal advocate for Israel's security and has supported various military actions against Hamas.
