Ali Babacan

Ali Babacan is a Turkish economist and politician who served as the Minister of Economy and Finance from 2002 to 2005. He was a key figure in Turkey's economic reforms and played a crucial role in the country's transition to a market-based economy. Babacan is also a professor at the University of Michigan and has written extensively on economic policy and international trade. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan and has received several awards for his work, including the prestigious Wolfson Prize. Babacan is based in Istanbul, Turkey.
