Alfred Tennyson
Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom
Alfred Tennyson was a British poet laureate during the Victorian era. He is known for his beautiful language and rhythm, and his poetry is still widely read and appreciated in Japan today. Tennyson was born on August 6, 1809, and died on October 6, 1892. He was the 1st Baron Tennyson and was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath. Tennyson's poetry explores themes of love, nature, and the human condition.
