Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Alexander Solzhenitsyn was a Russian novelist, historian, and philosopher who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1970. He is best known for his novels such as 'One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich' and 'The Cancer Ward'. He was a prominent figure in the Soviet dissident movement and was exiled to the West in the 1970s.
