Alberto Gonzales is a former U.S. Attorney General, White House Counsel, and Dean of the Belmont University School of Law. He served as Attorney General from 2005 to 2007 and was the first Hispanic to hold the position. Gonzales also served as White House Counsel from 2001 to 2005 and was a key advisor to President George W. Bush. He is a graduate of Harvard University and has a law degree from Harvard Law School. Gonzales has written several books on law and politics and has been a frequent commentator on television and radio. He is known for his expertise on national security and immigration issues.
