ahmed abdel samad

Ahmed Abdel Samad is an Egyptian journalist, author, and TV presenter. He was born in 1956 in Cairo, Egypt. Abdel Samad studied journalism at the American University in Cairo. He began his career as a reporter for Al Jazeera, working alongside other prominent journalists like Tawfiq al-Swafy. Abdel Samad has written several books on Egyptian politics and history. He is known for his insightful commentary on Middle Eastern affairs and his critiques of authoritarian regimes. In 2018, he published a book about the Egyptian Revolution of 2011.
