Syrian military commander
Ahmad al-Joulani is a Syrian military commander who has been the leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) since 2016. He has played a key role in the Syrian Civil War, particularly in the fight against the Islamic State (ISIS). Al-Joulani has also been involved in the Syrian peace process and has met with various international leaders, including US President Donald Trump.
