Zaviar Gooden Joins Broncos Coaching Staff

0:00On March 9th, former Tennessee Titans linebacker Xavier Gooden is joining the Denver Broncos coaching staff for the 2026 season. Gooden entered the league as the 97th overall pick in 2013 out of Missouri. He spent his first two years with the Titans, notching seven tackles for loss and one quarterback hit before brief stints with the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals. After hanging up his cleats, Gooden transitioned to coaching. He started as an assistant strength coach at USC in 2021, then moved to LSU as an assistant development coach through 2026. The Broncos bring him on board after a strong run to the AFC championship game last season, powered by quarterback Bo Nyx. This higher adds a player turn coach with pro experience to their staff. NFL insider Aaron Wilson broke the news, signaling Denver's push to strengthen their team ahead of another competitive year.
