0:00Getting ready for a road trip with Zach Bogosian on their way out west starting out in Vegas before we talk about what's coming up Bogo I got to talk to you about the game against the lightning my favorite moment from that game. There are many You know where I'm going to this the slap shot from the circle. What was behind that? Holy moly got it had to corral It's got Bogosian Zach Bogosian. It's got a breakway looks fires And an old-school slap shot on a breakway caught the glass I like that choice by Volga there It was amazing. I mean had he scored there. He would have had to have been the post-game guests So you think the roof would have blown off this place is ceiling up grand casino might be lifted after that That was like out of the 1980s. Yeah, I saw an opening and I just missed you know, I don't think many Many people expect me to get a break away. So I might as well have fun with it But I did have a look at it. So close but obviously Not close enough Back in the day here with the Minnesota Wilders Brian Ralston
1:01He scored on a slap shot. Have you seen that? I mean, I think it was under a bit of the long go I'm pretty sure he used to do it a lot in the pot on the shootouts. I've seen him do it a few times over the years Something different something maybe the goal. It's more unpredictable But yeah, I'm not in that position very often. So I don't have many breakaway moves I don't think Vasilevsky necessarily was in a jovial mood after that game I know you guys have a history as former teammates. Did you have any conversation? Yeah, I saw him after the game I saw a bunch of the guys Yeah, we got a good little chuck a lot of it, but Yeah, I mean obviously world-class gold tender. So You know if those go in that's great for me, but odds are they're probably not against the guy like that But yeah, it was fun to see some old faces catch up after the game But more importantly was a it was a big win we needed to get back in the the winning side of of things and
2:07You know, I thought we put a complete game. Yeah, it was a great game We got the five-one victory stopped the two games slide Now you head out west for two real big matchups against the Western Conference for whatever reason you guys have had real good Success this year against the Vegas Golden Knights anything in particular that steps out to you that why you guys are two and all against them Nothing really pops out to me. I think we've you know other than Other than Utah. I feel like we've played most teams pretty well. Even if we have lost games You know Vegas is a good team They have experienced their they have obviously won before they have that winning pedigree in the room So anytime you're you're playing a group like that You know, they're gonna be tight-checking games and I think that's when we're tight-checking and play that way I think that's when we're at our best. So Yeah, I think nothing really pops out I just think we got to worry about what we can do You talk about tight-checking. You got some help in that area leading to the NHL trade deadline Would you know about Michael McCarran before he became a member of the Minnesota Wild and what do you like about having them on your team?
3:10Yeah, I mean he certainly makes our team harder to play against Played against them for a lot of years and you know, you know, you're getting out of them You know plays and straight lines and plays hard physical He's good in the face-off circle Good on the pk. He's a big body that's that can move out there So you know, we're happy to have him on our side. I think he's gonna be really effective for us Especially coming down the stretch when it's you know, it's big boy hockey. So yeah, we're pumped to have him look out less Yeah, thank you
