About this episode
A lot of people have a weird relationship with money.
Money is synonymous with responsibility.
If you have money, you are responsible for paying taxes.
If you're a business owner, you have the responsibility of paying employees, paying vendors, corporate taxes.......the list goes on.
Those that don't have money have a fucked up relationship with money are not used to being patient and sitting with money.
Most of us have been taught when we have money to spend it.
We learned that from our parents.
It's time to change your relationship with money and you can start by changing the language by which you talk about it........
Money = Responsibility.
Sit with that for a moment.

Welcome to the rewire podcast. I'm your host Ryan Stoeman and I'm here to rewire your mind for success You were put on this planet for success. You were created to succeed But the force of average is after you every single day my brothers and sisters and this podcast is the one thing This design to help you fight the force of average and excel in every area of your life. We're glad that you're here A lot of people have a weird relationship with money Money is ultimately synonymous with responsibility If you have money you're responsible for things You're responsible first of all to be a steward of the money Then you're responsible for the things the money buys Then you're responsible to pay taxes on that money You're responsible to do your payroll if you're a business owner on that money or to pay your bills on that money like Money is responsibility But most people have a weird relationship with money to where they're scared of it And what I mean by that is so many people don't have money because they don't realize they are just simply scared of it
If they got it like we watch people win the lottery and blow all their money It's not that they wanted a Lamborghini in a house. They've lived their whole life without those things It's just that they couldn't handle the responsibility of having so much money So they had to spend it in big chunks and what's funny Mental relationship people have with money especially people they grew up that didn't grow up in a fluent households Like we will argue and fight for five dollars. We will fight for a hundred dollars We will save money by turning off the light switches Tipping the minimum blah blah blah but then have no problem paying over sticker for a Ferrari Have no problem paying above list for the mansion that they want Why because we watched our parents argue over five dollars? We watched our parents fight for a hundred bucks and we developed those habits We never got to watch our parents go buy a Ferrari We never got to watch our parents go buy that mansion So we have this weird relationship with money where we sweat the little things but blow the big things And the truth is if you have an opportunity to be responsible with a large sum of money be responsible with it
Don't spend it and blow it. That's just showing the world your irresponsibility I watched one time back in 2022 when the world was flowing with money and everybody was rich as they'd ever been And all these people were making all this money and they were giving it to other business owners that were raising capital Because they didn't want the money to sit in their bank account and then be responsible with it And if somebody they invested with blue the money and lost it then it wasn't their responsibility And they didn't have to be responsible for the loss of capital as if they kept it themselves That sounds absolutely preposterous But that's how most people think and don't even realize it because the relationship they have with money Is a relationship of responsibility and they are irresponsible people with money So once you start looking at money as not that I have to spend it Not that I have to deploy it not that I have to get rid of it But I need to be patient and sit with it and get used to it I watch guys the first time they make You know, they have $10,000 in their bank account. They're like where can I invest 10 grand No offense congratulations on having 10 grand but that's not an investment
You're trying to be irresponsible and get rid of the money that you were responsible enough to save So when it comes to money equate it to responsibility Consider yourself a responsible person and become responsible for your own thing your own money Your own return on investment and your own moves that you make with it
