Welcome to the Eat The Pudding fan podcast, where Michael and Ian explore the Simpsons universe in all its colourful and cromulent forms. This is the twelfth episode: “You Badmouthed MacGyver, Didn’t You?”. 

A longer episode than usual this time as we are joined by two special guests, Kevin Brown and Randy Woods – the longstanding hosts of Seaside Pod Review, one of our favourite Saskatoon-based Queen podcasts. During this tricontinental meeting of minds, Kev and Randy chew the fat with us about The Simpsons in general and Season Four in particular, sharing favourite lines and characters and nerding out about pop cultural references.

In our Spotlight On Springfield segment, we also take a look at the character of Jay Sherman, who – as we discover – is actually from another series created by seasoned Simpsons contributors Al Jean and Mike Reiss. As well as giving our first impressions of this series, we revisit the classic Simpsons episode A Star Is Burns, which introduces Jay Sherman and showcases the film-making talents of some of Springfield’s least likely suspects.
