傳說古老的年代，牛家莊有一個叫牛郎的孤兒，隨哥哥、嫂嫂生活。認真工作的牛郎有天在山上發現一頭生病的老牛，將其領回悉心照料，殊不知，他原來是天上金牛星。對凡間充滿好奇的小絲音，跟隨月老來到人間，提起真心石的出現就是兩人命中註定的緣份。此時，兩人相遇，談天說地，無話不談。
