陽穀縣縣令吳大炮，十年寒窗苦讀，終得榜上有名，分發至此，為黎民百姓之父母官。今日升堂卻遇真假武大郎與潘金蓮到縣衙控告，吳大炮悉心審問之下，雙方仍各持己言，辯稱自己為真對方為假，難分難解之際，妖怪所化之潘金蓮趁機捉弄吳大炮，使吳大炮狼狽不堪，頭疼不已。突然衙役來報道，包拯奉天旨意，四處巡查，已經到了陽穀縣驛站，吳大炮聞聽，即刻前往驛站，央求包拯審案。
