About this episode
何明勳十幾年來在何家認真努力，呂財主十分賞識，想招贅何明勳為婿，年僅八歲的陳秀妹，卻提出入贅之難的警語，勸阻明勳。其後又有人介紹陳滿妹，說好的姻緣，卻因兆頭不好而作罷；羅立春也介紹其姊羅壬妹，郎才女貌情投意合，又因羅家一再出狀況而延宕；之後又有陳芹妹暗中喜歡他，皆無結果。徬徨無主時，陳布政家遭強盜，明勳奮勇擒匪，深受陳家賞識，因此鼓勵明勳考慮娶陳秀妹為妻，明勳受寵若驚，一口應允婚事，擇期迎娶。
