香蘭心急的等待永信回來，想不到永信回來還帶金鳳釵當禮物，原本香蘭還高興的以為永信賺大錢回來，問清原由後想不到永信竟然將香蘭與文義賣給陳員外，傷心的香蘭聽永信解釋後，無奈的默默承受…。長大後的文忠終於要上京考試，郭永信不捨的送文忠出門，永信長嘆一聲心想，已經盡他所能將文忠養育成人並且供養讀書，終於將要使郭家光宗耀祖了。
