一晚金牡丹在後花園賞月光，被周欽誤以為是鯉魚精化身，上前相認，被無情栽贓，不知內情的周欽，對於金牡丹無情，氣憤離開金府返回故鄉。鯉魚精隨即追趕，再次化身金牡丹模樣，欲隨周欽返回故鄉。元宵佳節在大街賞燈之時，巧遇相爺。
