張貴為了將綾羅綢緞盡數賣與金家，奉承刁蠻並且眼界甚高的金玉滿，誇獎其是天仙下凡，世間難尋的美女。
此舉令金玉滿其開心不已，金舉人聽到張貴的言語，更決定故意刁難梁秀才，讓其在日正中午在太陽底下曝曬許久。
