遼闊的雲天夜景，彎彎的雲河，橫在天際。北斗七星閃爍，牽牛星與織女星分隔在雲河兩側。古曲演奏並合唱傳頌千古〈古詩十九首〉的【迢迢牽牛星】仙女在神殿勤於紡織，小妹織女卻思念起牛郎，大姐勸戒其不可動情思凡。適逢老牛哥與鵲女來訪，言談中透露老牛哥與大姐兩心互許；而天真的鵲女，則對好色殘暴的天狼星官一往情深，天狼來訪，贈織女一支金釵以表愛慕之情，被織女回絕了，天狼懷恨在心。牛郎來訪，贈蟠桃給織女，兩人卿卿我我之際，天狼撞見，發誓上報王母，報此仇恨。
