五花洞中修練千年，幻化為人形，一日在洞中百無聊賴，聞聽人言，清河縣中出有一對有趣的夫妻，夫名武大郎，妻名潘金蓮，武大郎生得矮小，相貌平凡無奇，其妻潘金蓮卻生得美艷非凡，兩人十分不登對。五妖突發奇想，出洞前往人間，一來遊玩，二來拆散他們夫妻二人，成全一樁美事。另一方，武大郎欲攜妻子潘金蓮前往陽穀縣尋找其弟武松。
