What is up wrestling fans? Welcome to another pay-per-view point edition of The Smark at Moments Mac Talk Podcast. It's time to talk about the WWE NXT Vengeance Day event coming up this Saturday, which we, of course, will be having a live coverage about, and if you don't know who we are, I'm Tony Mango, joined as always by Rob D. Feliz. Maybe I should try to go to this. What do you think, Tony? This looks like a fun little card. You're not too far off from Orlando, and it is taking place in the WWE Performance Center. Highly doubt that that was their original plan to do this, but they had this set up for Atlanta on an episode of NXT, and they had the bow out of that. They have a Houston episode of NXT coming up, and they've got Roadblock in Madison Square Garden, which I'm even closer to than comparison to you in Orlando, but I'm not going to that because the tickets are absurd.

It's one thing for me to spend, I don't know, 12 bucks on a train to just avoid walking for like a half an hour. I'm lazy enough. I do believe it's free. I think it's free. I was never able to go. I only went to Orlando once in the past like 15 fucking years, but the setup for that, I don't know how that works because it's like, don't you have to be in some kind of Facebook group or something? So, yeah, you just sign up for this, the way that you sign up for going to the TV show, and I'm pretty sure it's free. But how do you even sign up for the TV show? Isn't it something weird like that, like you have to be part of like a Facebook group or something? It's like they just don't have that information on the website or anything. I've been getting them to my emails lately, I don't know if it's because like, they got wind of the fact that I no longer, you know, after 10 years,

that I no longer live in New York or, but yeah, they definitely, they definitely just let you in there free. That's interesting. That changes things, is that I think free show? This looks great. It's a pretty interesting enough card. It's not a card that I would say is like, oh, wow, you know, like what, like a must-see kind of thing, but like, I think it's going to be a funny review. And there's five matches according to what the current lineup is. I don't think they're going to add anything more, but you know, they always good. And pretty much curious about like, start time and all that stuff. This is going to be the last one. It seems on Peacock. They are burying the fuck out of that, by the way. Oh, so this is on Peacock? Yeah, I can't find it anywhere on there. They even have a whole section on Peacock that says like, featured brands. And there's not the WW logo anymore.

Because what are they putting there? They still have WW content. And like, 15 days or so is like, when it ends and evaporates. So like, obviously, like, they're not prioritized in WWE. That Smackdown backlog is going away. Yeah, I'll worry about that later, I guess. Oh, it'll probably go on Netflix, right? No, because the raw, the fucking raw vault isn't even full on Netflix. They've got like two episodes from 97, two episodes from 96. It's all their voice. That's just the paper views that they have up to right now. The only thing comes to that. They're probably missing those two. No, they have the paper views complete as far as I can tell. Even like in your houses and stuff. Yeah, they have all the papers. Oh, and whatever fashion it is, it's supposed to be on Peacock from what I had seen, but no advertisement for whatsoever there.

Well, on the WWE website, they're advertising Peacock. So that means the typical Peacock in the United States and Netflix internationally thing, which, you know, if anything, even though I'm paying for Peacock, if anything, I find it easier to just click on the Netflix thing, like, I've found myself even with some of these ESPN things being like, let me just do the VPN and Netflix thing. Because if I have both, then if I've got it up on my screen, the ESPN thing might be a little bit of a pain in the ass. And Netflix one, not really having any issues with it, so. Are you ignored? Hey, sponsor, I can talk about using that for a little bit. Yeah, so I mean, if you're watching this, whatever it is, you're watching it on, we'll be doing, of course, the live coverage on smartcombobb.com. You're wrestling news in the ringer port. And then post-show immediately following that. So if you don't know all that good stuff, and you want to, like, keep in mind different ways for you to have some fun and interact and stuff, the Discord channel is a great way to do that.

Always just be talking to other people during the pay-per-view and stuff. And keep in mind too, if you are on YouTube, hit the like button, subscribe, ring your notification bell, and get your email alert set up for the post show, because that's where the post shows do happen. So if you want to know when I go live, sometimes it's, you know, 10, 15 minutes after the pay-per-view is over, and sometimes it's immediately afterward. Kind of depends on when I'm up to and, like, how many news things I'm still writing up. I hate it when WWE does that thing where it's, like, it's, not, I don't know. It's 9.58. They're like, we're just going to announce seven matches for next week, and I'm like, you bastards. They didn't really do that with NXT. It's not a bad, a raw smackdown. Raw smackdown, they've gotten into a habit where they tend to announce things out around, like, the half-hour before it's over, Mark. But then, every so often, it's just, you know, an onslaught of things. Or, you know, I mean, if it's a pay-per-view, and it's a be-in-like title change, and somebody returned, and somebody got a mask, and somebody kind of injured on the same thing, and I'm like, ah!

But we do those that we're on the post-show, so on YouTube, so, you know, get your email or set up for that. And if you do have a little bit of spare change to help us out on some other methods, click on the join button, the thanks button, like, good stuff on there. Patreon's the exact same thing, so if you're more into Patreon, check that out too. And, uh, red bubble-in tape public is where you get your merchandise. So, anyway, we're a seven-medicine divisive band, without talking about a single match. Quick round out of the card. There will be Dion Linux against Tony DeAngelo. A street fight between Blake Monroe and Jada Parker and NXT Underground match between Lola Weiss and Kalani Jordan. The North American title for the Women's Divisions on the line is the game against Tatum Paxley, and the NXT title is on the line with Joe Hendry defending against Ricky Sains. So, again, it's not the most grandiose card. It's not, you know, Johnny Gargano versus Adam Cole versus Tomaso Champa in a street fight, death, match, ladder,

cage, scenario, and then a 12-man tag team, whatever, and, you know. We got him in black and gold, man. Yeah, uh, black and gold, you know, was the peak, but, uh, you know, there have been different errors of NXT. And with the amount of changes that they've been making lately, with people like Oba Family leaving, and Javon Evans, and, you know, a lot of other people that are like on the cusp of leaving, and all, I think that this is a pretty strong card. All things considered. I think this is an amazingly strong card, because I'll talk about WWE P-Pews from my current experience. My current experience of WWE P-Pews is hardly watching any television and going in completely blind. And it's, as we always talked about when, you know, you're never both covering, you go in completely blind, you just have such a better time.

Because you're just like, oh, I don't have any foregone conclusions of who's going to win. Outside of a match, like, you know, a Finn Balor vs. C. I'm punk, punk's not losing for a defensive moment. But, you know, you go into these shows and you're like, I'm intrigued by the result. And I feel like I've been more positive on the shows that I do watch. Now, but I'm not being forced to like be super attentive and keep an eye on news. I do feel a lot more positive about the quality of the shows. That being said, this is still not nearly as strong as WWE should be right now. Yeah, I say it every week to somebody, you know, whether it's like friend of mine or coworker or whatever, about XT being just like the most fun show to watch every

week. And even if it makes no fucking sense, even if it's really annoying to do coverage for for the days where they go crazy with a backstage segment and stuff, it's just a silly, weird, fun kind of show. And I have more fun watching that than I do. We're all smack down or dynamite most of the weeks. But like it's the most unique show of the mainstream wrestling landscape. Yeah, and even evolve, like I skipped the rule, but even that sometimes can be more fun than some of the other things. But I do, I'm here to make a formal call for XT to go back to, like, and Braun Breaker sitting in a diner. They liked that diner, and they loved that diner for a minute. That diner got like four segments or something. Is it like having a pollen cruise or something? Yeah. They were like, we're gonna go to a diner, we're gonna like go fishing together,

we're doing, I don't know, you want to accompany me, I gotta go pay some bills. It's kind of stupid as weird for you going on like that. Oh man, I gotta go pick up something at the store, I gotta fill up the gas tank, you wanna tag along? Yeah, okay, I also want you're at XT. But then again, you know, what we've got for this is we've got the Ricky Saints' absolute experience, which was trying to do a parody of the Joe Hendry concert stuff. And they started off so bad for that segment that it then turned into a good thing for me, because it was that sort of like super cringe level. And they kept it going long enough where it was annoying. So they got there, you wish, they became like really obnoxious. I don't know about who's gonna win this, to be honest, because I feel like it's so one-sided that Hendry should, that I feel like that is almost a red herring.

It feels like a foreign conclusion of it's Henry. But it feels like this isn't the show they had planned in January, you know what I mean? Like not even necessarily that they had a different plan by like summer slam, or something where it's a gas, a lot's changed then. Ava was supposed to be heavily involved. She was doing a whole thing with Tony D, you know, she was feuding with Blake Monroe, and they just lost Ava. And I think that probably threw them through a loop. If I had the gas gun in my head, I'd say Joe Hendry wins. And I'll just run through, I think Tony DeAngelo will win as well. And I think that's your stand-in delivery made of that. Oh, that's a little bit weird about it. So, I mean, that's one of the things that's weird about it. Hendry and Sains are the two biggest stars.

Like, undeniably, they're the two biggest stars of NXT right now. Ethan Page, I would say, is number three. You've got a guy who was the TNA World Champion, has been at WrestleMania, and you've got a guy who owns globally televised pinfall victories over a very recent CM Punk. Yeah, and I think Ethan Page is probably number three. This is just for the men's division, obviously not counting the women. But like, they are starting to promote stand-in deliver. Now that they've announced that it's not part of WrestleMania, and they can do the whole like, you know, this is when we're actually doing the show. They're starting to promote that as the thing that everybody's looking for. Not even the whole like, oh man, I'd venture and stay. I can't wait, they're like, I can't wait to be done with a venture and stay in a look forward to stand-in deliver. I don't know if I would go Joe Hendry versus Tony DeAngelo, but Tony DeAngelo is saying, if he beats Dion Lennox,

that that means he somehow accomplished his whole thing with Dark State. And he came back for two reasons. One, to take everything away from Dark State. And two, well, he wasn't going to reveal that. But you've got to assume it's the NXT Championship, because I mean, what else is he going to do? It's going to be like, hey, I came back to fuck up Dark State, and also to repaint the hallways because I hate that here. Tony Dee beating Dion Lennox? Yeah, most likely, so then it could be the end of that feud. But then Tony Dee against Joe Hendry. What do we do with Ricky Saints? And then what do we do with Dark State, you know? I think you main roster, Ricky. I think Ricky could have been main rostered immediately. Well, you know, I'm speaking out loud and I just realized, we had not seen Roy's keys in a tough life's capacity.

How much of him was at the Royal Rumble, at which time he was lumped into a later video package, featuring all of the NXT stars. And the only rumor that I've heard at all regarding Roy's keys is that he might have been set up to have something with Damien Priest. I don't think that that's true. And I took that out after I have an article from EWN earlier today where I was like, yeah, this is how you can probably set it up through the Andre the Giant Memorial about Royal and Bulbubla. I am still back on my, I think he's going to pop up and be the heavy for Ricky Saints. And I think that we're looking at a scenario here where Tony D beats Dion Lennox. And then he's like, yeah, I'm coming for that title. Lennox is like, I'm not done with you, mother fucker. Like you don't get to say that you just like, you're done with Dark State,

fuck you, I'm going to attack you and whatever. Ricky Saints could win the championship because of interference from Roy's keys. And then Henry is like, you know, I want my rematch. I think we're going to get four way at stand and deliver. No, I don't want it forward said to deliver. Let me tell you what, because even though, you know, a popular wrestling reporter, I don't know why I said like that. Mike Johnson said that it was going to be Cody versus Randy. Everything that SmackDown has done has felt like you're building up to some kind of three way, if not a four way. But you're like, Randy's in. So Randy's in that match. And I don't want four way and then a four way. I don't think that's a four way anymore. I don't know if you had checked out the podcast afterward, but we were going to talk about this on the hot tags anyway. I think Cody Bates Roman,

Earth Roman, Cody beats Drew McIntyre on Friday. I think it's Cody defending against Randy at WrestleMania. And Drew has a three way with Sammy and Jacob. So right now, the popular and we'll get back to having Steve a second. I would buy. I also think that Alster Black is the guy that Randy and Cody both feud with. So that they don't fight each other. Fuck you. Do you know exactly what I'm talking about? Yeah. Because Alster Black has this issue with Randy. So Alster will end up being a guy that steps in the way with Cody. And then we get a Cody versus Alster Black match on SmackDown. We get Cody and Randy against Alster Black and blank. And then they can't get along because of some kind of issues. So they have an argument. They lose the tag team match. But it's also like the narrative of, you know, the evil within and all that like.

Alster Black's going to be like, Cody, don't you just want to make sure that you retain that title. You'll even fuck over your friend. And Randy or you'll be like, don't you need 15? You got to fuck over your friend. And it'll be yet another Alster Black is just carrying cross. Don't you hear the crowd hear his Cody? Don't you want to give into that. I he's carrying 100% carrying cross. I I feel a little bad about because that that was what he was doing anyway. Yeah. It's just that cross came in and sort of did it louder. So now it feels like he's just ripping off cross. Oh, I mean, he didn't have Selena. So well, he it's got he had his own I think real quick. That does seem like it's going to be the plan.

I'm kind of leading towards drool versus Jacob or drool versus out this. Fuck it. Do this. I mean, he's in the game. So yeah, I don't think we're getting a four way for that title at me anymore. I think that we're getting like a side thing with through and thought to and Sammy. Maybe even trick if they want to throw him in there or something. I don't know how, but the talk to the town right now is, why am I using these phrase supposedly? There's a real good natty happening. The idea is a potential double turn. Yeah, which I don't know. Which checks out, but anyway, black tanics. I do think that this is where they'll have a four way dance. It'll be a real box social. I don't know because I kind of think Tony D's need to do in that fucking belt.

How's it been like five or four years? Since he beat champa? Has it really been that long? It's been like four, it's been at least four years. Yeah, it's been exactly four years since he beat champa at stand and deliver. And it was like, you're the don of NXT. You beat the guy. Have you known when this title yet? He is the only person that beat over a family twice too. He beat over a family twice. He has watched literally everyone from his class. Either go to the main roster and win world titles or be fired. I think it's time to put the title on over filling. I mean, I don't know if that's right. Yeah, it's like Tony Angela has watched all these people leave and win world titles again and have them watch another one.

No, but I think it's something I've done in the belt. I think it's for this storyline, considering he's a tweener anyway, Henry and Ricky are interchangeable. So it doesn't matter which one of them wins. I'm going to say Henry retains. I am a leery about the Royce keys of it all though. I'm going to at least as far as the podcast is concerned. I might like officially change things when I'm writing up like predictions on the ring reporter or something. At least for right now, I'm going to say Tony Debeats Deonlinux and Joe Hendry loses the title to Ricky chains. I want to say Tony Debeats Deonlinux and Joe Hendry retains. And then we've got the women's North American title match. It's a game against Tatum Paxley and this is another like, do they just skip to the next thing or do they carry this forward thing? I'm leaning more towards Dame retains over Paxley

because I think that this ties into the NXT autograph match. Lola vice against Kalani Jordan. Lola is very adamant that she wants a championship and there were rumors that she would come up to the main roster. They obviously didn't call her up yet. I could see this being more so Lola beats Kalani and that's the end of this feud. Dame retains over Paxley and I could see them doing something stupid where it's like, yeah, but Paxley, like, I don't know, beats her up again a little bit right afterward and it's just sort of like, yeah, that's my revenge. You know, it's some kind of pointless thing that really sucks and, you know, it's not an actual finish to the story, but they're pretend like it is. And then Lola vice, I think, up against Izzy Dame. That could be a title change. That's Santa deliver. So, not because I don't like

any of the things you just patched. But I think that idea won't happen because I think Tatum should win here. I think you got to make people feel good. Tatum was given a short run with the main NXT women's title. That obviously wasn't meant to be, but you can kind of make this a longer run and something she can sink her teeth into. That'd be all for it. Dame is about, Dame is about as ready as you can get. Not that I think she's, she's going up. But she could, you know what I mean? She got a nice look. She's got a good presence about her. They don't give a shit about the colleague. They just like Izzy. So, move Izzy upward. Tatum wins here. I think Lola could win the underground match, but

there's a match here that's missing. And maybe this is the part where you tell me they announced a match for next week. But how are we not getting JCJ fans against Zoruka in a three way? Because there's going to be an announcement of that essentially. Robert Stone said he will have an announcement regarding what to do with the NXT Women's Championship. So, I am fully assuming he says, you know, the three of them have issues. The three of them are going to have a match and stand to deliver. That's annoying. Yeah. Just do it a thing and say and do a different match and stand to deliver. Well, you also have Blake Monroe and Jada Parker on a street fight. So, it's like, where do they factor in to stand and deliver if they're already doing a street fight? Because I was dropped the opinion. I was like, oh, they'll probably do a gimmick match at stand and deliver. And it'll probably be Blake wins this.

Jada keeps coming after her and then she does the whole darker side of herself. And then, you know, we probably have some kind of like a last woman standing or whatever. And then they just did that whole thing on this whole episode. So, I was like, all right, well, we just skipped five weeks worth television, essentially. I maybe it's a scenario where neither of them are on that card, but that also kind of influences the other things too because it's like, well, if they're not fighting for the NXT Women's Championship, are either of them going to end up fighting for the North American title. And does that change anything with like Lola and Kalani and Tatum and Izzy? Is it going to be like Izzy Dame beats Paxley? And then she retains over Lola Vice because we want to put the belt on Jada? Or is this like Tatum wins the North American title? Beats Izzy. Okay, that feud is over. And then Tatum is being held up to lose to Blake.

Maybe, you know, like, I see. I kind of feel like in the same way that we talked about Henry and Stark. Sorry, I'm always in some starts. Ricky say it's being the top male stars in NXT. Rough star or not, Blake Monroe is the biggest name they have. If they were just doing the three-way dance between Zoruka and JC, my thing would be put it on Ruka to get it to Blake. Because Blake should be fighting for the main title. And I think that still could be their plan. But not at Standard Deliver. Like, she lost the North American title in a way that wasn't supposed to happen. So like, why do anything else with their butt put the main title on her?

And right now, Fia Hale's fighting for a shot at the speed title against Fallon Henley. So like, that's much more of what you would think that they would be doing with Fia Hale, because they just gave up and just decided not to bother to, you know, try to give her a title reign in that. She doesn't necessarily have her shot. Yeah, she has to be Rens and Claire for it, but I'm kind of assuming that Fia Hale could win. Um, she's out of the picture for the North American title to very least. So to me, that feels like there is a rather solid three-part tier on the roster. For the women in the next day, I think that they look at like, Blake, Jada, JC, Celruka, and then kind of by proxy, sorry, because they don't like sorry as much as they like Celruka. Those are like the main event women. And then Izzy, Tatum, Kalani, Lola,

are probably their mid-card women, and then Fia and Ariana Grace and, uh, Yoleney Reed, they're kind of like part three with like the speed title and all, you know what I mean? Right. So Fallon right now is holding a title that's a little bit below what her kind of level is because she's probably North American title more. Blake and Jada are in that main event scene. More so than I would think the women's North American title. And then what do you do with them in the meantime though? Because there is still roadblock too. And, you know, roadblock is going to be an episode of NXT. It's not going to be a pay-per-view, but it's like they're going to have to have some matches on there that feel like they're kind of pay-per-view-esque. That where you get like, you know, is that the big blow off of Blake from Roger to Parker in this, isn't it? You know, we're...

I think this is. But of course, we forget, Tony. What is the staple of stand-in-deliver? The multi-person ladder? I mean, every single, you know, yeah, they do have it. So this could be Izzy and Tatum and Lola and Kalani and Blake and Jada. Or... And Royce Keys. Or this could be, you know, J.C.'s, Aruka, Blake, Jada, and like Lola. I do think he's going to say the three-way is happening for the title. I just think it's silly that it's not happening here, but yeah, I could see a multi-woman ladder match and do I ask questions? They're just doing it because that's what they do. But I'm kind of thinking a little more that they might be the multi-person thing this year

might end to be in the tag. With Vanity Projects, Swaprite, OTM, Hackettank, Dark State, probably somebody yet. I could see that. But either way, I think I'll go Tatum, wins the title. I'll go Lola gets the better of Kalani and I'll say Blake should probably be Jada. Based off of not knowing, of course, like what they're planning for Roblox and what they're planning for stand and deliver, which in retrospect is going to make it seem like, well, maybe they should have done this, maybe should have done that. Or it'll end up being like, of course, they were going to do that because that's the thing that makes the most sense. I think the Jada probably beats Blake. Does this kind of feel like it's

sort of the end of that feud and they were saying, like, we need to end this. And then I think Dame retains over Paxley and Lola beats Kalani. I'm still leaning towards Lola versus Izzy Dame. And you know, not everybody makes the stand and deliver card to it, just like WrestleMania, even though they arguably should because shit, you have time, for Battle Royale in there or something. And I'm going to go Lola, Izzy, Blake, Tony D, and Ricky Saints. Very curious about this Royce keep thing. They haven't done anything but show him with Stephanie McMahon. It's got to be that he's going that next day. That or they're like, well, we've got nothing in mind for WrestleMania. So can you just like, hold off, and we'll pop you back up one after WrestleMania. Yeah, crazy thing with NXT. You know, this Saturday is going to be Vengeance Day. So we'll figure

out what happens, what happens. And then after the fact, talk about it, get all reactions and whatever it might be. And then we'll roll along with the next paper review, because it's, you know, paper review city over the next month or so. And carry on with next week is Revolution from EW, I think. So yeah, there's one thing after another. In the meantime, we are going to talk a little bit more about some of these same topics when we get into the hot tags. That'll be the next podcast you guys hear from us. So on Friday, we'll get into the Cody Rhodes versus Drew McIntyre match. We'll talk about a little bit of other software mapping from this episode of NXT that we didn't get into. Not too much. We're covered most of it. But um, I'm nails Jade, Cargill and rear riftly, and we're going to talk about that, because that's the story of the week. I mean, that's one of the biggest ones so far. Demolition, coming into the WWE Hall of Fame, it's another one. So it'll be on the hot tags. They're deserved. You know, we got a couple days where some more crazy things could happen too.

And that's true. Don't want to jinx it. Yeah. Well, Demolition and I think I'm fully prepared to say the only name I need to see going this Hall of Fame is Cindy Lomper. And I'm good with whatever you do after that. No, uh, it's aggressive. I thought you were going to go in that direction. Because he's gone now. So it's less, I don't want to see the posture as reduction. Yeah, Cindy Lomper, 100% has to go in there. Hey, and we'll talk about that. We'll get a, like, kind of into our little one more match, wrestling with the past type discussion when it comes to Demolition. And we'll talk about the other things that are happening on Dynamite tomorrow. And, you know, I don't know if there's anything special happening there, but we'll see. So I mean, time, check it out, everything that we always talk about. We got like the, uh, link tree at a mango tree dot com right at any mega dot com exactly the same thing find me on all those links there and find it rub over a dude release. Yep, you can find me at dude police

on all the social medias. Check out my stuff on insider gaming as well. And keep in mind to check out the dark cast that we did earlier today. That is us settling on the bracket for the 2026 smart madness tournament. So if you are interested in voting on who is the best rival of AJ styles of all time, that is the tournament that's currently going on right now. We're gonna have that rolling one round per week over the next couple weeks around the beginning of April. I think like the ninth or so whenever we do like that episode of the hot tags most likely, we'll talk about the winner. So check out that dark cast. If you want to find out where we ended up leaning towards that bracket and moving them picking those 16 people. In the meantime, keep checking out everything else on smartcamomma.com. And we will see you when we see you about Adios for now. This has been another smart count moment and we're being counted out.
