at redfin.com. Own the dream. Jones and Keith. Until you he I download the Odyssey app and listen on demand anytime. It's time for Would you rather Wednesday? I got great, would you rather Would you rather have a pet bird that sues or a pet monkey that smokes? Would you rather get punched in the face or tossed in a pond? Would you rather be a werewolf or a vampire? On Jones and Keith. Would you rather Wednesday? Jones and Keith is brought to you by avalinos if you're planning a corporate meeting or a private party book. They're beautiful and spacious function room for up to 100 guests. Go avalino.com. Excellent food there. And again, a great place to host a function as it were at avalinos. A lot of people waiting patiently at 617-779-793-7 on Mike Vrable and Diana Rossini. We can maybe get to some of those coming up. But in the meantime, let's get to some of these. Would you rather as Billy, what's first up? Would you rather live in St. Louis or Milwaukee?
You know, have you been to both? So I've only been to St. Louis. Now, last time we talked about St. Louis, that might have already made the decision for you if you've been there. I got a little hot water. We had somebody contact the station. So you can, remember this? You can go to like wwei.com and you can like air your grievances, I guess. I think Ken might read them and then forward them to us. Yeah, we get them actually shockingly and frequently. But yeah, no way, you can direct them right to Keith at wwei.com. Or you can just complain right to our boss. But yeah, this, this, this, was really not happy. I was how much I did not care for St. Louis. Because I have been once, only maybe a couple of nights. It wasn't like a whole thing. And I didn't care for it. It was not my favorite city I've been to. So vis-a-vis, despite the fact that Milwaukee is, I'm sure, very, very cold for a lot of the year, just like it is here, I don't know, like the beer and the brats and all that stuff. It seems like Milwaukee to me would be a no-brainer. Let me tell you, Keith, I've been to both, Brad. Wow. And how long were you in Milwaukee for?
A night, it was Celtic's Bucks. Oh, that's right. I believe I talk about this recently. It was the day of Michigan Ohio State. So I like, you know, by went out and watched the game. Oh, that's cool. Yannis played against, it was a young Yannis. I don't remember the year, what year were we at all those games, whatever year that was. I was Brad Stevens first year. They were in Milwaukee. So we were just, we got in on a Friday night. We were there on a Saturday. I hung out, walked around on Saturday. And it was dead cold. It had January, no, I'm sorry, it was during the game. So November, when it was probably 2013 or 14. November? It's cold. Let me tell you, it was freezing. Yeah, yeah. Now Milwaukee, I liked. I want to catch good friends is from St. Louis. And we hung out there for like four days. Is she even like it? It was like three, two minutes. No, she lives in LA. And so yeah, I mean, like she went back to visit her dad and they had a pool and we hung out there and Lucas was young. And you know, she was about as close as she was going to be. So we hung out with them for like four days. It was like three days too long. Oh, it was so yeah. No, to me, that's a pretty easy call on Milwaukee over St. Louis. Although, I don't want to get Nellie
in the St. Louis of Texas Madden. No, I mean, I like Nellie quite a bit. Like Jason Tatum. I like the contract brothers. Like that's all good. But I'm just funny because the Red Sox are playing home against Milwaukee then they go to St. Louis. So if your guys like Will Fleming or Middlebrook is like, I think you'd probably rather flip those two. Good call. What else Billy? Would you rather keep the 65 game minimum rule for NBA awards or change it? OK, I want to change it. But the belly aching from the players is starting to annoy me and making me want to dig in on the 65 game threshold a little bit. This year, all of a sudden, there seems like there's many examples of guys just missing it. But because the rules have been in place for a few years now. Correct. So do you think this year is just like a weird freak outlier and they shouldn't cave to overreacting to it? Or do you think this is going to be like, do you think we're going to have more years like this where guys are dropping like flies right around the 65 game threshold? It's possible. I think if you, because I like the spirit of the rule, I hate when guys are just sitting out and they're not hurt and they're missing all these games. And they've already tried to change it with the prime time games and change it with the back-to-back. They want guys to play. But we've seen now so many different injuries
that I feel like 60 games. It's five less. It's essentially what, three-fourths of the season. I think I can wrap my head around 60 games. So you miss 22. That's a lot. But you play in 60. That's also plenty. Good round number. You get the 60. That would include guys like this year alone. Edwards, Wemba Yama, Cade Cunningham, like they would all already qualify for it. Do I think moving it from 65 to 60 is a big deal? No, I don't. But now, you know what that's going to do. Now the guys who get to 58 and 59 games, it's like every year they expand the tournament. No, I know. They're like, 64 teams, about 68. What's the difference? Well, now the 69th and 70th team cry about not getting in instead of 65 and 60th. But I think you move that line. You're just going to move where people complain. Well, someone argue there should be no minimum. So you could be like, Mike Trout and play 110 games and these baseball writers are voted for them for MVP. I feel like this prevents LeBron from automatically making it because every voter is going to put LeBron on there if he played 40 games. So I like the idea of the rule.
This year it's been pretty tough. So I don't mind if they shaved five games down, but then I wouldn't budge from there. Yeah. And just, I hope this is a message to guys who, you know, take these load management games early in the year. And they're like, wow, there's five games left. They'll just play in the last five. Well, you might roll an ankle. And that stinks, but you shouldn't have sat out all these games earlier. And, you know, I, I, I like the spirit of the rule. If you're telling me again, let's change it from 65 to 60. Do I think that that is a huge deal? I don't, but just if you, if you show you're going to change it one time and overreact to what I think is an outlier year. I don't think we haven't gotten before. I don't think you're going to get again. All these prominent players getting hurt in games 62, 64, 61, whatever it is. I don't want to overreact to that because if you move, if you move at once and you have another weird year like this around the 60 game, Mark, then you're going to have to move it again. And you've already sent a message. You're going to move it again. So look, the belly aching from the players has me a little more dug in. I think at this point, I'd keep it. Uh, what else, Bill?
Would you rather have a Red Sox cooler cup or a Roman Anthony bubble head? Keith, guess what? Your boy just went out and bought himself one of these cooler cups. I got the cooler cup. I would, I would answer it the cooler cup. And I like a bubble head. I'm a pro-boblin. Yeah, show that, show that bottom. Yeah, he actually, you think they're going to give this to me? I would bought it. What did the guy tell you at the stand? Oh, he was like, they did sell out of them right away. So I'm like, everybody said they're selling out of them. And the guy was like, uh, we, whoa, we did. He's like, we sold out them quickly. And right now, there is a ton of high school kids here. Yeah, there's a ton of kids under 21 that are here. He's like, if it was like a normal crowd, he said, he's like, they're probably would already been sold. It was like a 7 p.m. game and, you know, a bunch of drinking games. Because he had a whole box of them. I'm like, hey, do you know if they have any of these, like, green cooler cups, he just like looked at me like, like, I was like, a moron. I have answered that question 100 times already. And it's 11 o'clock in the morning. And I was like, hey, can you just put water in mine? So, oh, yeah, oink. So what is in there? You're claiming water? You're claiming water. You can get them with vodka lemonade. You can do that if you're in over 21.
And you're, you know, feels so inclined. But I just said, no, I'm not for me, sir. I'm working. I'm on the clock. Yeah, I gotta be honest. And the thing, the thing looks very cool, Keith. Don't get me wrong. That looks great. You know, I get, no, I do like it. You want the bobble head? Well, I'm just saying, I don't know that I'm as keen on them as, as you are. I don't know. I acknowledge the, the cool look of it. I just can't imagine I'm gonna use that much in my everyday life. Oh, you're out of your mind. How many hours? How many ounces would you say that? I'm just fired up over here. Is that even 12 ounces? I don't know the ounces. That looks, it looks small to me. I can't imagine. Well, yeah, put it in your hand. We're a sizes. Yeah, that's a problem. So I would imagine that I wouldn't use it very often, but like, you know what I have zero use for? A bobble head? None. No, I know you disagree with that. I like bobble heads. I got a whole bunch of them at work. Got them all set up. So you, you would take both. No, the question on like how many ounces in here is fair? I think maybe when I go home, I'll pour like a beer in there and see. I'll do a video. I'll do a good, you could make one here a long island iced tea's in there. No. Not a lot, enough room for mixers. I want to listen to it.
You can listen to it. You can listen to it. You're out. It's already full. Here's what you do. Yeah. I got a remedy. It's overflowing at this point. I get a nice vase or a vase and I make it and then I pour it into this. So then you end up drinking it out of this, but you don't just make it in that. Yeah. So it's still got a lot of use. Yeah. And it's the green one. They have a yellow one too, which I don't care for. The green one, I'm on board. I do like, but you don't like the yellow uniforms. I like this one. Can I get uniforms? This is the better one in the better color. You made a good call. So I'm excited about this. What's the last one, Bill? Would you rather have a pet cat or a pet ferret? So I have to ask from time to time, huh? Why the ferret? What's the debate here? Well, so two reasons. One, we just had a cat madness story yesterday. Cat I get. It was caught in the recline. Well, the other animal was a burrow. And I wasn't going to, you know, I'm going to have a pet burrow. So I was like cat or what else? And dogs, too easy to answer. Right. And the last time I was at pet supplies, with George, he picking up pet supplies, we saw like the fish tank and then they have like a gerbil tank. Then they had a poor ferret kind of hanging out in the cage.
And I was like, can I want that guy? Oh, no. I kind of want a ferret. Now Katie's like scared of him. Katie would not allow it. I don't think you do. I think I do. I don't. You would have never, we'd have a mouse problem ever in your house. They would take care of that, no problem. Domestic ferret? A cat would take care of your mice. A domestic ferret is going to take care of the mice. Yeah, I think so. Are you sure? The ferrets are cool. Yeah. Well, remember how much I had the urmines and how much I liked the urmines? Uh-huh. It was wild. They're similar. This is from a pet store. Well, yeah, I mean, I would have to teach a bread to be domestic. I would have to teach that. I mean, a cat will get rid of your mice. I guarantee a cat will get rid of your mice. I like an urmine, though. And I like a ferret, sort of like a weasel type creature. Yeah. Remember the weasels from Roger Rabbit? Yeah, that's why you're hilarious. Why you work with me? Yeah, that's why you work with the sports weasel. He's a weasel issue of it. So I would take a ferret. And I think it's also, it's a good conversation starter because people see a cat like I have a cat. I think, oh, you have a ferret? I think it's a conversation stopper. Oh, no. You got to a conversation starter? Oh, yeah, people come over there. I think that a team has a ferret. You Homer Simpson right out of a conversation when you learn keeps a ferret. Yeah, I might have two or three ferrets around here.
Yeah, no, look. Nice field. Look, I could tolerate a cat. I'm married to one. I could tolerate a cat in the house. Like, am I gung? Do I want one? Am I gung whole about it? No. Would it be low on my list of pets? Sure, but it's higher than ferret. Ferret, I think it's pretty cool. I think people are sleeping on a ferret. Those things, yeah, I'm not telling you, litter box smells great. Those things stink. Ferret stink? Get a little bath. You were just in the, get a little bath. You were just in the pet store. You didn't notice the stink? Well, that's not, I'm not gonna put all that on the ferret. Yeah, but when you walk over to the ferret cage and it stinks more. All right, what about a guinea pig? You'd rather have a guinea pig than a ferret? Well, no, I do want a guinea pig is what I was in. No, no, no, I know you don't want a guinea pig. I'd rather have like a hamster or a guinea pig than a ferret, no. I think so. As ferrets, you can let them out. They're pretty intelligent. Right, guinea pig, I just wouldn't feel as bad as living in the cage. I'm like, yeah, you're in there. You're not really looking to do it. I feel like a ferret. I just constantly feel bad that he's trapped in his cage. I think a ferret, but then you let him out and he's getting stuck in your liner. Air vent or something. Yeah, I mean, you might clean it for all you know. It sticks to his fur, he's like a little duster. I think he'd curl up on a couch with you.
If anybody has a ferret, text it in the show. Let me know if you like it or not. Yeah. And if it was a mistake or if you want to get more ferrets. And then in a separate text, let us know if you have any friends or not. I would like to know that. Well, you could be a good substitute. It's true. You're out there Wednesday on Jones and Keith brought to you by avalinos. We'll get to your phone calls maybe at 617-779-793-7. And we have the hashtag door at minute with Rich Keef next.
