What's up? I'm Corey with The Story, and these are your headlines from Lester News today. A woman with multiple sclerosis and blabby spent over two days trapped in her bedroom after heavy rain flooded her home on February 27th and 28th. The water seeped into the air bricks and foundations, knocking out the electricity needed for her powered hoist, which she relies on to get out of, bed. Stranded without a safe way to reach the bathroom, she contacted hoist managers for backup batteries, while firefighters helped by finding power in. The loft to run her fridge and freezer, though extension cords blocked her wheelchair path. She's lived there 17 years without issues, but blames recent developments like frost court apartments and new houses on the old Tom Thumb pub, site, which replaced open fields and grass with concrete and paving that prevent water drainage. All officials have been asked to review the flooding to stop it from happening again.
