A 66 year old, Raleigh woman named Sandra Hunter faces a first degree murder charge for the death of her 72 year old, On and Off. Partner. Arthur Upchurch. The two had a rocky relationship spanning nearly 30 years, marked by violence from Upchurch, who racked up 30 convictions and recently pleaded. Guilty to assaulting Hunter. Just months ago, a judge sentenced him to 150 days in jail and barred him from any contact with her after he struck her face, causing, swelling. Family members filled the frot row of the way County courtroom during her arraignment, openly crying as Hunter repeatedly told them she loved them while being led away.
