Wisconsin Badgers Athletic Director Departs

It's a brand new role created just for him, reporting straight to Commissioner Tony Petiti. McIntosh, a former Badges football player, had run the show since 2021 after joining the department back in 2014. Earlier this week, McIntosh dropped the resignation news over the weekend, with Petiti confirming it on Monday. His shake-up leaves a big gap at Wisconsin, where he steered major decisions during a tough time for college sports. Now, they've tapped Deputy Athletic Director Marcus Sedbury as interim boss. He's been Chief Operating Officer since 2022, coming over from Baylor, and got bumped to General Manager in February 2025. Sedbury handles everything from budgets to facilities and even football for an office strategy. He got deep roots too, with stints at Arkansas, the Philadelphia Eagles, and UCF over 15 years.
