Multiple outlets are now reporting that Rex Heuermann, the New York architect charged in seven murders tied to the Gilgo Beach investigation, is expected to plead guilty in April of 2026. That plea has not yet been entered in court, and a judge would still have to accept it, but family members have reportedly been notified, and the guilty plea would make his September trial unnecessary.
