Will Clarke Takes Helm at River Bluff High

0:00On March 24th, Will Clark is heading back to the Midlands to take over as headboys basketball coach at River Bluff High School in Lexington. He steps in after Ben Lee retired following 13 seasons at the helm, including a Class 5A state title in 2021. Lee built a solid program during his time there, becoming the only coach in school history. Now Clark brings his own experience, marking his second head coaching gig after leading at Palmetto High School. Clark knows the area well from his playing days as a star at Lexington High School, where he helped win a state championship in 2020. Most recently, he's been assisting at Powerhouse Dorman High under coach Thomas Ryan. River Bluff just wrapped up a tough two wins, 23 losses season, their first below 500 in four years. Still, they've hit 17 or more wins five times since the 2017-18 campaign. As expect the school board to approve Quartz Hire, at Tuesday's Lexington 1 meeting, setting the stage for a fresh start next season.
