Wildfire Blazes in Tintwistle Low Moor

0:00On April 9th, fire crews rushed to Tenswisselo more near Glossablast night, April 8th, tackling a massive wildfire that broke out around 8. 45pm. This came during some of the hottest days we've seen so far this year, with flames ripping through about 75 meters by 150 meters of dry moorland. Earlier this week, multiple blazes lit up the area, including two on Saddleworth Moors, Tuesday afternoon, April 7th, and others near Dovestones, Blackstone Edge, and Marsden Cluff on Wednesday. Local folks got the word to steer clear while firefighters from Derbyshars, Glossab and New Mill stations, plus greater Manchester's high crew. Battle the flames for hours. Residents nearby captured pics of towering infernos lighting up the night sky, but luckily no injuries. They used water backpacks, beaters, and a forced air blower to stand by hot spots and stop the spread, wrapping up around 10.50pm.
