00Adam and Allison on Y-101 Tuesday, tidbit time, 7.22s day mornings. We give you little life hacks. Maybe they'll help you save money or learn something about yourself like today's. Do you have somebody in your mind right now that irritates you? You can't stand this person and you have no idea why. Yeah, okay, I got them pictured. All right, so there are a few different reasons for this. Okay. Maybe they remind you of someone from your past, especially if you did not like that person. I, I don't think so. Uh, could they possibly have no filter and say things that make you uncomfortable? Um, I wouldn't say uncomfortable, but I do say this person lacks a filter. It's like, it's like maybe they lack social awareness. Maybe, maybe they're crossing boundaries. Yes, definitely, definitely, definitely crossing boundaries. Oh, they, do they expose your insecurities? That could be another reason you instantly dislike someone

02and you can't figure out why. Yes, really? Yes, this person chronically, like multiple of my friends, me has pointed out insecurities for no reason. Like just, it feels like just to get under your skin, maybe. Do I know this person? No, you don't. Dang. Um, they, they, they trigger envy. Are you maybe jealous of this person? No, I'm certainly not jealous of this guy. They reflect traits that you don't like in yourself. I hope not. I pray not. I pray I'm not like this guy at all. Are they challenge your beliefs or worldview? Uh, yeah, but I think we just see the world really differently. I like people like that. I like whatever I'm able to have a discussion with somebody who thinks about things differently. Yes, yes. If there can be a happy discussion, but this is absolutely the type of person who, if you don't agree with him, you're wrong. Um, and the last thing is why somebody might annoy you

03and you can't figure it out if they demand emotional energy that you don't want to give. That makes somebody instantly irritating. Yes. So this guy hits a lot of these buttons. So who is this guy today? Um, it is somebody that I went to school with, like, whenever I was getting my master's degree, it was a very small group of us, only about seven of us. So we got very, very close working on our master's together. And this one guy, he was just a thorn in every one side. Like he was absolutely one to bring out your insecurities. I remember one time he just randomly said to me, he was like, you're a lot like people don't know how to handle you. And I was like, who are you to say that to me? I remember he was telling one of my really good friends that he didn't like his girlfriend. And like, he needed to break up with this girl. And it's like, who are you to insert yourself in somebody's personal life like that? So yeah, he definitely meets a lot of the criteria for this. If you wanted to text us about the Tuesday tidbit,

03our numbers, 601-995-1017, did that remind you of anybody? And did it help you figure out why you really can't stand like Jim or whoever the guy or girl is? So glad you jumped in on the conversation. It's why 101, Adam and Allison just did a Tuesday tidbit about that person who irritates you beyond belief. And you can't even figure out why. Just something about him you don't like. Adam and Allison, why 101? Raya jumped in and said co-workers call one what was said could have been sent in a message. That's a very irritating behavior. Oh, absolutely. Or if meetings that could have been an email, same fate. Uh-huh, Zach texted us, corporate people, absolutely make me want to get right with Jesus. Had a business development manager from hell. And even if you disagreed with one thing, he made you pay for it because he was high on himself. Yeah, pages says somebody having to relate

04to every single topic with a story about their life or something bothers me. It's the whole center of attention thing. Ah, so that gave me insecurities. And because pretty much our whole show, like what we do on the show, we tell, talk about something going on, current events, a study, whatever. And then we tell a story from our life. That's like how our show works. Uh, we want you to tell us stories about your life as well. And I get concerned that sometimes I do that in everyday conversation off the air. And I don't know if it's great. That's where you gotta stop. You gotta draw the line. Like this is the place for it. This is supposed to be an open dialogue, a town hall, if you will, that everybody can bring their own experience. We want to hear it. We're telling you about our stuff. We're trying to relate. But if you're just out at the bar and somebody's telling you about the big fish that they caught this weekend, you don't need to tell them about the even bigger fish

04that you caught one time, which I don't know that you've ever even caught a fish. But that's just an example. Well, if somebody was telling me about the big fish that they caught, I would tell how I don't really fish. And it's because I'm not good at casting. And I can't get the fish off the hook. I can't figure out how to do it. Would that be irritating to somebody like Paige or you? Really? Like, why does it need to be about you? Why can't it be about the fish that they caught? It's not about me. It's about us having a conversation. See, this is driving me nuts now. Well, you're insecure. Now I'm insecure because of this text that we just got of somebody that says a person who acts like they know everything about everything. And I may know it all. One time I saw, this was right, whenever we started working together like eight years ago, somebody was talking about their kids. And you said, yep, they'll do that sometimes. Like you were a parent. Like what the hell are you talking about?
