Why Formula E's Gen4 car will be special (with James Rossiter)

A special deep dive podcast in to the recently unleashed Gen4 Formula E car is explored by lead Formula E writer Sam Smith as he is joined by official development driver James Rossiter.

The pair discuss the insane acceleration of the new car and how its efficiency and emphasis on performance is set to re-define perceptions on electric racing cars as Formula E gets set for its fourth era later this year.

A discussion between The Race and Rossiter also unfolds on the growing comparisons between the world’s only all-electric world championship and the much more electric new F1 rules.

Additionally, Rossiter explains how the active differential on the car, its permanent four wheel drive and two-tiered aerodynamic set-up will be tackled by the teams and drivers in private testing and then in the run up to the season starting and a new way of racing is expected to flourish.
