佛祖在灵鹫山时，国内有位大富豪，名叫尸利踬，家中非常富有。
他的妻子生了一个男孩，容貌端庄，世上无双，父母非常喜爱，请来相师为男孩占察吉凶。
相师说：“这个孩子很有福德，将来必定会光宗耀祖。”
尸利踬长者更加高兴，就请相师给儿子取一个名字。
相师说：“怀上这个孩子之后，家中有什么瑞兆呢？”
尸利踬长者说：“他母亲本来笨嘴笨舌的，自从怀上这个孩子后，谈吐非常巧妙，不知胜过平常多少倍。”
于是，相师就为小儿起名，叫做婆世踬。
